What Next-Generation Firewall does
A next-generation firewall inspects traffic at the application layer, not just by port and protocol. It combines deep packet inspection, application control, intrusion prevention and threat intelligence in one control point.
It protects the data center edge, branch offices and cloud workloads, and enforces a consistent policy for users wherever they connect from.
What CyberGrid delivers
- Requirement and sizing assessment based on throughput, users, sites and security features needed
- Vendor shortlisting and licence guidance across the platforms we support
- Design, configuration, policy build and cut-over
- Migration from your existing firewall with rule clean-up and a rollback plan
- Ongoing support, health checks and policy reviews
Who it is for
- Enterprises replacing an end-of-life or legacy port-based firewall
- Multi-branch organisations that need consistent policy across sites
- Regulated businesses that must show perimeter controls to auditors
We serve organisations across India and support customers globally, with offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Trivandrum.

Frequently asked questions
Palo Alto vs Fortinet: which firewall is right for us?
Both are strong enterprise platforms. The right choice depends on throughput, the features you need turned on (such as SSL inspection and IPS together), your team’s skills, existing network stack and budget. We compare them against your actual requirements rather than recommending one by default.
How do we size a firewall for our organisation?
Sizing is driven by real throughput with security features enabled, concurrent sessions, number of users and sites, and expected growth. Datasheet maximums are usually measured with features off, so we size against threat-prevention throughput.
How do firewall pricing and licensing work?
Cost typically has two parts: the hardware or virtual appliance, and subscription licences for security services such as threat prevention, URL filtering and support. We lay out both for each shortlisted option so the multi-year cost is clear.
How long does a firewall deployment take?
It depends on the number of sites, rule-base complexity and whether it is a new build or a migration. A discovery call lets us give a realistic timeline for your environment.
Can you migrate us from our current firewall?
Yes. We review the existing rule base, remove unused and duplicate rules, rebuild policy on the new platform, test, and cut over with a rollback plan to limit downtime.
What support do you provide after deployment?
Support covers incident response for firewall issues, firmware and signature updates, change requests and periodic policy reviews. Response terms are agreed in the support agreement.
